2003年3月10日,
在英國 Lodon 公開演唱會中,
言詞犀利的主唱 Natali Maines,
抨擊美國總統 George W. Bush,
不應該出兵攻打伊拉克.

"We do not want this war,this violence,and we are
ashamed the President of the United States is from Texas."
"我們並不要這場戰爭, 這場暴力,
我們覺得很丟臉, 美國總統是從德州出生的."

在此之後,
負面的評價及威脅蜂擁而來. 
Country Music Radio Stations
美國國內的
鄉村音樂樂台禁播她們的歌曲,
愛國主義者揚言要對她們人身攻擊.

不過,偉大的女聲不生畏懼,
 繼續在她們的官網上說明:
" 我覺得美國總統忽略了我們美國人的聲音
及疏離了世界的想法.
我是在掙扎中, 做出這些表述的. 
但是, 我依舊全力支持美國的軍隊.
身為美國人, 我很榮幸可以享有"表達"的權利.

我已身為美國人為榮!! "

向世界述說她們的遭遇.



片中拍攝 Dixie Chicks,
於英國 London 演唱會發表爭異性話題的原貌.
表達當時許多英國人及美國人反對戰爭的心聲.
也仔細拍攝 Dixie Chicks 與她們
先生.小孩在德州相處的點點滴滴.
Dixie Chicks 收到一封指明
要至她們於死地的信.
信的標題就是:
" Shut up 閉嘴,and Sing 唱歌就好 ! "
這封信讓 FBI 及德州刑警十分緊張.
幾乎要請她們停止德州 Dallas 的演唱會.
還好, 再重裝警備戒護下,
演唱會完美 ending.

隔年,
第 49 屆葛萊美給了 Dixie Chicks 最熱情的肯定.
